Mega Steel Fixing was engaged to deliver the complete steel fixing package for the new 35-storey Moxy Hotel development in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. With 308 hotel rooms, this high-rise build demands precision, planning, and expertise across all phases of construction. Our team played a vital role in supporting the structural integrity of the development, delivering reinforcement solutions that aligned with the project’s complex integration of structure, façade, services, and finishes. Working alongside builder Kuatro, we were involved from early contractor involvement (ECI) through to the construction stage under a Design & Construct contract. Our early engagement allowed us to collaborate closely with the wider project team, ensuring that steel reinforcement was planned, supplied, and installed efficiently at every stage.
CHALLENGES & INNOVATIONS
Situated in Sydney’s bustling CBD, the site presented several logistical challenges, including live footpaths, occupied neighbouring buildings, and restricted site access. Mega Steel Fixings implemented careful sequencing and strategic delivery plans to maintain program timelines while meeting safety and quality standards. Our contribution has helped to underpin one of the city’s most anticipated hotel developments—delivering strength and stability to this $81 million landmark project.
